Pratt ice cream social (ICS)
Date & Time: CANCELLED. (was to be held: Friday, June 4, 2021, 5:30 - 8:30pm)
Location: Pratt School and Tower Hill Park
Unfortunately our annual neighborhood event, the Pratt Ice Cream Social is cancelled again this year (2021) because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Tower will not be open either.
As cases were again beginning to rise with the spread of the UK variant in Minnesota in March (2/3 of all new cases as reported in April 2nd's Minneapolis StarTribune), we are stuck on the ground. Let's plan on next year, and may you have an enjoyable Spring!
The Pratt Ice Cream Social Fundraiser is one of the most anticipated events of the year! This event is sponsored and co-organized by the Pratt Parent-Teacher Organization with the Prospect Park Association in order to raise funds for Pratt Community School and PPA. What draws people in from throughout the Twin Cities, though, is that the Witch's Hat Water Tower is open! To manage the crowds waiting to ascend the tower, we use a fixed number of cards so that only 80 people can be in the tower at any given time. Organization and staffing of the event is on a volunteer basis.
